Lidice Fire Engine
By combination of circumstances, literally by miracle, two important artifacts that document the community history before the tragedy, escaped the destruction: the fire engine, which was in June 1942 in the neighboring municipality, and the door of the Lidice church, now on display in the museum. Both of these items are recorded on the pre-war recordings from Lidice, so that there is no doubt about their authenticity; they were neither destroyed nor damaged so that they would have to completely reconstruct.
The exhibit is presented in the basement of the Museum.
