Building the New Lidice

The exhibition is dedicated to the new Lidice, its development, interior design and the life of local inhabitants after the war.

It informs about the architectural tender for the construction of the new village including the memorial and a landscape design of the memorial site and about the founding of the Garden of Peace and Friendship. It deals with the issue of the construction of the village itself and all the accompanying rigmarole and of providing the houses with modern and purposeful furnishings. It depicts the life of local inhabitants, mostly women, without omitting their role in the newly built post-war society.
